National Space Centre Visit
Since September the entire year 7 have been given the opportunity to visit the National Space Centre in Leicester’ said, Miss Varghese organiser of the event. ‘Over 150 students took the opportunity to see the National Space Centre which has again been voted Large Visitor Attraction of the Year for 2009.
All the students took a journey through the six hands-on galleries, stopping at over 150 interactive experiences, and then travelled in the glass lifts through three floors in the 42m high Rocket Tower. During their time there they were in awe in the UK's largest planetarium; the Space Theatre, as we take you on a voyage of discovery in the 360° full dome experience. Amy Wilson (7E1) and Oliver Ford (7P2) said: ‘It was a long journey but when we arrived the rest of the time was great. We most enjoyed the Simulator which took us through space and we visited ‘Europa’ one of Jupiter’s moons’ See more of the days events below.
